Whatever happened to Lord Magick? Official Statement, October 2003
After many years working with different bands and artists as diverse as The Paisley Shirts, Peacemaker,Lydia Bonsai, Alan Davidson of The Kitchen Cynics fame, the legendary Motorcycle Vagabonds and his infamous B-Movie-Arkestra, Lord Magick has become some kind of a broken man.
But right now, after a temorarily break and retirement from the music business due to the usual booze lifestyle, the Lord has actually overcome his crisis and celebrates this return to true form and greatness by finishing a compilation album, `Behind The Hunter & The Master - The Sound Of Success´ that covers the whole of the years he´s been making music including a few new tunes and some rare and unreleased tunes as well.
These years - his contribution to music history - are a twisted and sometimes nasty affair: Lord Magick´s career has indeed had some strange changes and led into many directions. For instance, his follow up album to the underground classic `Desert Storm´, entitled `7:11´ never saw the light of day. There is word that a complete mixed version of that album exists - only with his characteristic vocal parts missing. But maybe that´s just another mystery story too.
Nowaddays Nowaddays, he still lives in a small village just outside Memphis. His best known work - and his masterpiece - the classic `Desert Storm´ has been reissued by the Notorious Buss Brothers on BaconStomach in 2002 with four bonus tracks. Since then, the Lord has actually started working on new tracks which will also be released on the Buss Brothers´ label, it´s the Notorious Buss Brothers who have the exclusive right to manage and handle Lord Magick´s back catalogue worldwide. They do this with passion, love and great respect for the artist.

10/13/2003 - Lord Magick reemerges from personal breakdown and announces a new retrospective album.
The Lord, who is most likely the most influential and profilic artist in the world of the Notorious Buss Brothers, has remerged from a personal crisis and celebrates this ressurection with a new retrospective album `Behind The Hunter & The Mster - The Sound Of Success´, tentatively set for release on October, 27th.
Magick has for the first commented on his departure of the music scene and regained his creative power. He intends to release new material soonafter. In the meantime, the new collection will include all the importants tracks, maybe some rarities - all chosen by Lord Magick himself. The Notorious Buss Brothers will probably celebrate Magick´s return with a new label, either simply called `Lord´ or as rumours have it, `Fame´. The tracklisting and artwork will be revealed soon, as will be an exclusive interview with the legendary performer.
